Awkward & Awesome Thursday

Awkward

Drinking a BIG bottle of Chardonnay on accident last night.  You see, my mom and I were making something (I can't say what yet b/c it's a surprise for the baby shower I'm helping give on Saturday) and when I craft, I like to drink wine and before I knew it the bottle was almost empty!  Whoops!  I'm paying for it today...my head is killing me and I'm majorly "simpled out".  Simpled out is a term my friends and I use when we've had too much fun the night before and our brains don't quite work the same the next day!

Wearing my super cute new shoes yesterday and almost falling like 5 times.  I kept tripping on the carpet at work.  It's hard to look cute when you keep tripping!

The length of my nails!  1997 called, they want their long nails back!!  Getting them filled today!

Did I mention that I have a splitting headache?

I went to a Wal-Mart in a "special" part of town yesterday...everything about the clientele there was AWKWARD...I saw so many great photo opportunities for the "People of Walmart" website but I was much too scared to take a picture...some of those people looked un-predictable!

Gas Prices.  YUK!

AWESOME

My Sister-In-Laws baby shower is this weekend.  I'll be posting pictures next week...I'm pretty sure it's going to be fabulouso...I've spent many, many nights and weekends making cute stuff!!  I can't wait for her to see it all and share it with everyone!

The Southwestern Chargrilled Chicken Salad at Chick-Fil-A--nuff said!

They're doing the appraisal on the house we put an offer on today...so we should know something in about 2 weeks.  It's a Short (Should be called LONG) sale...crossing our fingers and praying that if it's what God wants, we'll get the house!!

The cute dress I got to wear on Saturday!

My  Honey.  He makes me smile every single day!  He's the love of my life, my soulmate!

That's all for today folks...

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

What I'm linking up w/ Jamie at "This Kind of Love" for What I'm Loving Wednesday (WILW)!

This is what I'm loving this beautiful Wednesday.....

I finally broke down and bought myself a pair of Toms and oh my...I'll never go back.
They're Ah-MAZING!  If you don't have a pair...splurge on yourself...you will not regret this!!!

My BFF told me about the new Coach Poppy perfume and I'm LOVING it!
I just want to smell myself all the time! :) HEHE!

A staple in my on/off dieting world is gum and this Extra Sweet Watermelon gum is delish!!!

I made the decision to stop using tanning beds but I could not deal with being pasty white...so white you could see my veins!  EW...and I can't afford to Mystic once a week so I decided to try an at home Spray Tan.  I'm IN.LOVE. with Neutrogena's MicroMist.  I use the Medium because I'm so fair skinned and I spray myself every other day before bed.  It's great too because I shower at night and  it doesn't really have that "fake tan smell" so I don't feel like I need another shower the next morning!  It's about $10 a can and I go through a week...still beats $40 for one mystic tan and sure beats being pasty!

I am digging my Cat Eye Sunglasses I got at Target a few weeks ago.  I feel cool as a cat when I wear them! (Yeah, that last line was super cheesy...)

I'm LOVING My Honey and his wonderful sense of humor...this is us a few months back at an 80's party...he came up with his "80's Coach's" costume all by himself!!  Isn't he adorable??

So what are YOU loving this Beautiful Day?

(Go ahead, follow me...it would MAKE MY DAY...and, I'll follow you back!)

If I Was A Rich Girl...

For as long as I can remember, I've dreamed of living in an old Southern Plantation home..  I'm pretty sure that obsession started with my love of the movie "Gone With The Wind"!  It is my all time favorite movie!!
I dreamt of being Scarlett...who am I kidding, I still dream of being her!!  I had a friend tell me the other day that she wasn't very nice.  Yes, this is true...but she had the most beautiful dresses!  Even the one made out of curtains!!

It's not unusual to find me looking on Google for "Antebellum Plantation Homes for Sale"...a girl can dream, right?

Here are a few that caught my eye...I've put the link to the site I found them on so you can see interior pictures too...be prepared to drool!

Washington Plantation c.1848 - Washington, Georgia

Antebellum Plantation c.1840

D'Evereux Plantation c.1840 Natchez, Mississippi

I've also always dreamed of going on a "Plantation Home Tour Vacation"!!  How fun would that be??  SO FUN!!!

Well, if you love Plantation Homes like me...I hope you enjoyed these beauties!!

If I Was a Rich Girl...

If you're anything like me, you dream about all kinds of things you want but will probably never have the luxury of owning...or will, but only after patiently saving and penny pinching for months!!

Like...

I want a Dyson so badly...and in pink is even better!

I've gotten past the age where it seems OK to spend a good portion of one paycheck on a PURSE...but that doesn't mean I don't still think about it...

I've self diagnosed My Honey with restless leg syndrome...if we had this, I wouldn't even know about it...

I WILL have these one day...say in maybe 4 years when our current W/D gives up!

This closet gives me butterflies in my tummy...since I was a little girl I've longed for a huge, pretty, walk-in closet..sadly, unless we win the lottery, I'll never have this, but no one can ever take my dreaming away!

Well...those are a few of the lings of drool over on a weekly, if not daily basis...what would YOU buy if you had unlimited cash to blow?

It's Spring Ya'll!! So I made...

A YARN WREATH...I've seen these guys all over the blogging world and decided I just had to have one!!  Of course, I wasn't going to buy one...I wanted to MAKE my own...so to Hobby Lobby I went...$124 later and a cart full of MUCH more than I went in for...I had the materials to make my new wreath and a couple of other can't live w/out items! I mean, I'm buying a house, people...Hobby Lobby is THE place!!

Any who....I took pictures of my adventure so that I could show anyone that hasn't seen a "how to" on this wreath...how to....

Wrapping the Wreath

Find a random starting point and hot glue your yarn down

Start Wrapping..get ready, it takes awhile!

On to the felt flowers:

Find a couple of different size circles and trace onto felt

Cut out the circle, then cut around that in "waives"

Then begin to cut your circle in to one long strip...it will end up like this.  You'll have a little circle at the end, leave that, it will be the base of your flower.

Starting where you first started cutting (the "pointy" end), start to to roll, start out tight...the tighter you roll, the smaller your flower, the looser, the bigger and more "bloomed" your flower will look.

And here you go, finished flower.  I'm going to link up the tutorial I used b/c she's better at explaining than me! :)

Glue on flowers as you like...I also used buttons in the middle to add something extra and I added two little birds for SPRING!

You can hang it straight from a wreath hanger or I found some Spring ribbon I loved and hung it from that.

Linking up with DIY Craft Projects because she explains the felt flowers so much better than me!
